Kim Sae-ron Faces New Controversy Over Wedding Photos After Previous Dating Rumors with Kim Soo-hyun
Actress Kim Sae-ron has found herself explaining another social media incident after posting what appeared to be wedding photos on her Instagram. On the 8th, the actress uploaded and quickly deleted a photo of herself with a male companion, accompanied by the word "Marry," sparking marriage rumors.
In response to mounting speculation, Kim's representative told Xports News exclusively, "It's not a wedding photoshoot but rather a snap photo taken as a hobby." Kim herself clarified in an interview with Hankyung.com that "it's a photo taken with friends" and denied the marriage rumors, though she didn't explain why she deleted the post.
This isn't the first time Kim has created controversy through social media. Last year, she posted and quickly deleted a intimate selfie with actor Kim Soo-hyun, leading to dating rumors. While Kim Soo-hyun's representatives responded that they "don't know the intention behind the photo release," Kim Sae-ron remained silent on the matter.
The actress has been trying to rebuild her career following a 2022 DUI incident in Seoul's Gangnam district, where she crashed into guardrails, trees, and an electrical transformer, causing local power outages. After the incident, she posted a handwritten apology and was investigated by police in June of that year. She subsequently compensated affected businesses and ended her contract with Gold Medalist agency in December 2022.
While Kim attempted a comeback through the play "Dongchimi," she withdrew due to public criticism. She has recently completed filming for the movie "Guitarman," which is awaiting release.
